Aluminium frame repairs Hertfordshire

We can arrange frame repairs in Hertfordshire or anywhere in the East of England out of hours, overnight or at weekends, so the shop does not have to close. Photos of your Hertfordshire frame, close up and from across the street, help us judge what needs doing before any visit is booked.

What do we fix in Hertfordshire?

Corrosion and finish failureBubbling or thread-like filiform corrosion is cleaned back to sound metal and refinished, or the section is replaced.

Water getting inBlocked weep holes, failed seals and poor cill joints are traced and put right.

Impact damageLengths dented by vehicles, trolleys or forced entry are replaced, then finished to blend with the rest of the frame.

How much does it cost in Hertfordshire?

The guide price is £195 to £995 ex VAT for most repairs. Older aluminium sections in Hertfordshire and across the East of England can be discontinued, so we look for a matching profile or a workable alternative before pricing. The price we confirm in writing includes travel and access.

Which towns do you cover?

Common questions

Do you cover all of Hertfordshire?

Yes. ShopFronts UK works across Hertfordshire, including Bishop's Stortford, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford.

A vehicle has hit my shopfront. Can I claim for the frame?

You may be able to, but your insurer or the driver's insurer decides. We can provide photos and an itemised invoice for them, though we cannot promise a claim will be paid. Report the incident and get the vehicle details before any repairs start.

Do you need to take the glass out to repair the frame?

Not always. Cover caps, gaskets and small sections can often be changed with the glass in place. Larger repairs need the glass out, and we include any temporary boards in the price. Toughened panes cannot be reworked, so they are handled with care.

Can you match an old aluminium section?

Often, though not always exactly. Many shopfront profiles are common and remain available, while older ones may be discontinued. We look for a matching or compatible section, and if none exists, a folded cover piece or a new length of frame may be the answer.
