Aluminium frame repairs in Hampshire

We can arrange frame repairs in Hampshire or anywhere in the South East out of hours, overnight or at weekends, so the shop does not have to close.

Fitters installing a new aluminium shopfront frame

Older aluminium sections in Hampshire and across the South East can be discontinued, so we look for a matching profile or a workable alternative before pricing. If a van or forklift has struck your Hampshire shopfront, check whether the door still closes and whether the glass is still firmly held.

What do we fix in Hampshire?

Loose fixingsFrames working loose from the wall are refixed, with isolation between aluminium and other metals where needed.
Corrosion and finish failureBubbling or thread-like filiform corrosion is cleaned back to sound metal and refinished, or the section is replaced.
Failed gaskets and beadsShrunken gaskets and loose beads let in water and allow the glass to move. We strip them out and fit new.

How much does it cost in Hampshire?

The guide price is £195 to £995 ex VAT for most repairs. A dented or loose aluminium frame on your Hampshire frontage can often be repaired section by section, leaving the sound parts untouched. Your written quote shows travel, access and any out-of-hours work.

Which towns do you cover?

Common questions

Do you cover all of Hampshire?

Yes. ShopFronts UK works across Hampshire, including Aldershot, Andover, Basingstoke, Eastleigh.

Can a corroded aluminium frame be saved?

Usually yes, if the corrosion is on the surface. We remove loose material, treat it and refinish the area. Frames that have lost strength around fixings, corners or the cill need the affected section replacing, and we will tell you which applies.

Can you match an old aluminium section?

Often, though not always exactly. Many shopfront profiles are common and remain available, while older ones may be discontinued. We look for a matching or compatible section, and if none exists, a folded cover piece or a new length of frame may be the answer.

Do you need to take the glass out to repair the frame?

Not always. Cover caps, gaskets and small sections can often be changed with the glass in place. Larger repairs need the glass out, and we include any temporary boards in the price. Toughened panes cannot be reworked, so they are handled with care.
